Welcome 2025!
Time flies, as they say. The new year is here and so is the time to plan how you I can show my work. Here are some of the events where you can see my art:
Konst på väg,18 - 21 April 2025 @ ALUM gård in Götby. If you want to see a few of my latest works IRL then come to visit me in the barn! Hopefully the sun will shine during these first spring days.
Kulturkossans spring show: 10 May - 15 June 2025 @ Bananrepubliken. More than 100 participating artists show their work in a unique rural environment.
Fanzineist Art Book and Zine Fair: 16 - 18 May @ Vienna, Austria. I'm participating with one artist book.
Solo exhibition: 7 - 17 August 2025 @ Lövsta Bruk. I will be showing paintings and original prints from the last two years.
Exploring the abstract
At the end of 2023 I got increasingly intrested in portaiture. During last year's artist symposium in Italy, I continued working with portraits and used the opportunity to dive into ways to abstract the face. Two of the paintings I completed there were explorations of abstract portraits. When I was back into my own studio, I made the unconscious decision to explore more ways to depict faces without being literal - and collage is the perfect way to be playful and experimental without making such a big deal out of it.
Some of the collages I made have become favorites and will be part of this years exhibitions. Here's a sneak peek :-)
Poetry and collage
Collage has been the theme of this past fall so why not continue the trend into the new year? Here's the latest addition to my artist book collection - partly salvaged from a previous book that didn't really make the cut.
