Summer vibes and shows

We've had incredible weather here in Sweden the last couple of weeks. May is usually the sunniest month (at least so has been the case during the last 10 years) and everything is exploading in nature. I always feel a bit stressed by such a blessing: "If the best weather comes now, how will it be during the summer months?" In the Nordics we never take sun och warmth for granted! :D

At the same time as the weather blessed as with 20-25 degrees Celsius, Kulturkossan opened her spring show. I haven't had the opportunity to go and see it IRL, as weekends have kept me close to home, but I'm planning to do so soon. I'm participating with one work in drypoint.

Follow @kulturkossan over on instagram if you want to take a sneak peek of the show.

This year 150 artists are showing work inspired by the theme of HOPE.

It's a great experience to be there ... plus you'll get to see the wonderful Hälsingland.

Back home, I - together with a couple of other artists - have been planning for a group exhibition in Uppsala Missionskyrkan in August. "Dialogues in print"/"Dialoger i grafik" showcases seventeen artists (including yours truely) who will be showing works in various printmaking techniques.

The exhibition opening takes place 18th August at 1 pm and will go on until 29th August. I will be posting more about it soon.

Om my easel

I've embarked on a new journey! Yes, a new series is on the way. Here's a little preview of how it's going to look like.

I'm not going to reveal more about it right now, but let's just say that I've been obssesed with hands the last few months ;)

The size of these canvases is really challenging as I have to work in my little studio. Working in the garden is being rendered inpossible by the mosquito nightmare that is all too familiar for those of us living close to nature in the Nordics.

Wishing you all a lovely day!
